1. Introduction

SP7 Studio ("we," "our," or "us") operates the ForexKit mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding information collected in connection with your use of the App.

Summary: ForexKit stores all your personal learning data (journal entries, progress, settings) locally on your device. It never leaves your device. The App does use an internet connection to display advertisements served by Google AdMob, and by using the App you agree to Google's data practices as described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information We Do NOT Collect

SP7 Studio does not collect the following on its own servers:

  • Your name, email address, or any contact information
  • Your location or GPS data
  • Usage analytics or behavioral tracking data sent to SP7 Studio
  • Financial or payment information
  • Contacts or calendar data

2.2 Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The App stores the following data exclusively on your device. This data is never transmitted to SP7 Studio:

  • Learning Progress: Which lessons you have read, quiz scores, module completion percentages
  • XP and Gamification: Experience points earned, streak count, achievement badges unlocked
  • Trade Journal: Trade entries you manually create including pair, lot size, P&L, notes, and optional chart screenshots stored locally
  • Bookmarks: Lesson IDs you have bookmarked for later reference
  • Calculator History: Recent calculator inputs and results
  • Settings and Preferences: Selected theme, notification preferences, account currency setting
  • Trading Plan: Personal trading plan text you write in the App
  • Simulator Data: Paper trading history from the simulator feature
  • Onboarding Status: Whether you have completed the onboarding flow

All of the above data is stored using the device's local storage (Hive / SharedPreferences / app-private storage). This data is accessible only to the App and is automatically deleted when you uninstall the App.

2.3 Data Collected by Third-Party Services

The App integrates Google AdMob to display advertisements. Google AdMob may collect the following information automatically when ads are displayed:

  • Device identifiers (advertising ID, Android ID)
  • IP address and approximate location derived from IP
  • Device information (manufacturer, model, OS version)
  • App usage data related to ad interaction (impressions, clicks)

This data is collected and processed by Google LLC under Google's own Privacy Policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of personalized advertising on Android by going to Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization.

3. Internet Connection

ForexKit requires an internet connection solely for the purpose of displaying advertisements via Google AdMob. All educational content (lessons, glossary, calculators, reference data) is bundled within the App and functions fully offline. The App does not connect to SP7 Studio's servers at any time.

4. Photo / Image Access

The App allows you to optionally attach chart screenshots to trade journal entries. If you choose to attach an image:

  • The App will request access to your device's photo library (read-only, for the selected image only)
  • The selected image is copied to app-private local storage on your device
  • Images are never uploaded to any external server
  • You can remove attached images at any time within the App

Granting photo access is entirely optional. The journal feature works fully without it.

5. Notifications

If you choose to enable study reminder notifications within the App:

  • Notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely by your device's operating system (Android notification system)
  • Notification data is stored locally on your device only
  • No notification content or schedule is transmitted to any external server
  • You can disable notifications at any time through the App's notification settings or through your device's system notification settings

The App requests the following Android permissions for notifications:

  • POST_NOTIFICATIONS — to display notifications on Android 13 and above
  • SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM — to deliver reminders at the exact time you set
  • RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — to reschedule notifications after the device restarts
  • VIBRATE / WAKE_LOCK — standard notification delivery requirements

6. Third-Party Libraries and SDKs

The App uses the following third-party libraries and SDKs:

  • Flutter (Google) — UI framework. BSD License. See: flutter.dev
  • Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) (Google) — Advertisement delivery. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy. Collects device identifiers and ad interaction data as described in Section 2.3.
  • flutter_riverpod — State management. MIT License. No data collection.
  • flutter_local_notifications — Local notification scheduling. BSD License. No data collection.
  • flutter_markdown — Markdown text rendering. BSD License. No data collection.
  • hive_flutter — Local key-value storage. Apache 2.0 License. No data collection.
  • image_picker (Google) — Local image selection for journal screenshots. BSD License. No data collection beyond the selected image.
  • share_plus — Sharing content via device share sheet. BSD License. No data collection.
  • timezone — Timezone-aware notification scheduling. MIT License. No data collection.
  • fl_chart — Chart rendering. MIT License. No data collection.

With the exception of Google Mobile Ads SDK, all libraries operate locally and do not independently collect or transmit personal data.

7. Advertising

ForexKit displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. These advertisements help us keep the App free for all users.

  • The App displays banner ads, interstitial ads, and rewarded video ads
  • Ad content is served by Google and may be personalized based on your device's advertising ID and Google's own user profiling
  • To opt out of personalized ads, use your device's advertising settings (Android: Settings > Google > Ads)
  • Viewing a rewarded ad unlocks specific features (e.g., CSV export). This is optional and never required for core functionality
  • SP7 Studio does not have access to the data Google collects for advertising purposes

8. Data Security

Since your personal learning data is stored locally on your device:

  • Your data is protected by your device's own security mechanisms (screen lock, encryption, etc.)
  • We recommend using your device's built-in security features (PIN, fingerprint, or face unlock) to protect your data
  • If your device is lost, stolen, or shared, the data in this App may be accessible to whoever has access to your device
  • SP7 Studio has no ability to access, retrieve, or delete data stored on your device

9. Children's Privacy

ForexKit is rated for general audiences. The educational content covers forex trading concepts which are primarily relevant to adults. The App uses Google AdMob which may serve ads to all age groups based on the device's advertising settings.

We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since SP7 Studio collects no personal information directly from any user, this requirement is inherently satisfied for data we process. Ad data collected by Google is subject to Google's child-directed treatment policies.

10. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained on your device for as long as the App is installed. You can delete your data in the following ways:

  • Uninstall the App: All locally stored data is permanently deleted when you uninstall the App from your device.
  • Clear App Data: Go to your device's Settings > Apps > ForexKit > Storage > Clear Data. This will reset the App to its initial state and delete all stored data.
  • Individual Data: Within the App, you can delete individual journal entries or reset your progress from the settings screen.

SP7 Studio holds no copies of your data and cannot delete data on your behalf. For data collected by Google AdMob, refer to Google's data deletion options at myaccount.google.com.

11. Your Rights

Since SP7 Studio does not collect any personal data on our servers, traditional data subject rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability) are exercised directly on your device:

  • Right to Access: All data is accessible to you within the App or by inspecting app storage on your device
  • Right to Deletion: Uninstall the App or clear App data on your device to delete all locally stored data
  • Right to Portability: Data is stored on your device and under your full control. Use the CSV export feature (journal) to export your data
  • Ad Personalization: Opt out via your device's advertising ID settings

  • Google Play Store Data Safety requirements
  • Google AdMob Publisher Policies
  • General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) principles (EU)
  • California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) principles (where applicable)
  • Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) (US)

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. If we make material changes to how we handle your data, we will provide notice through an App update.

Your continued use of the App after any changes to this Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
